Interchange Fee in Germany

For example: A Processing Fee of 1.9% (consisting of an Interchange Fee of 0.2% plus a Merchant Service Charge of 1.7% (i.e. 1.9% minus 0.2%)) plus an Authorisation Fee of 0.35 € is charged when the purchase is successfully authorised and processed. A 0,35 € Authorisation Fee will also be charged when a successful authorisation expires where the payment has not yet been captured.
If a 10 € purchase is made on your website, your Interchange Fee would be 0.02 € and your Merchant Service Charge would be 0.17 € (i.e. 0.19 € in total), according to our standard rate. We would also charge an Authorisation Fee of 0.35 €. The total fee for this transaction would be 0.54 €, provided that the payment was captured before the authorisation expired.
If you qualify for a lower Processing Fee, we do not go back and recalculate the fees for orders placed before the date your Fee Schedule changed.
